Purchase: I ordered the saddle directly from CWD. Minus tax and shipping, it cost $4200.
Likes: Just about everything! I don't hang off to the side anymore, jumping is heaven because I'm perfectly positioned, and I sit tight when my pony spooks. For the first time in my life, I can take my legs off a horse to kick without losing my balance. I also love the little cantle cover that comes with the saddle -- I'm prone to cantle nicks, and it's a nice touch! CWD's customer service has been exemplary, too.
Dislikes: The only thing I can come up with (besides the price, but this is one of those cases of getting what you pay for) is that the billets are shorter than those on my last saddle, and so I'm having to invest in new girths -- but it's a small price to pay for this kind of fit.
Quality: The leather is wonderfully soft (especially for a brand-new saddle), the craftsmanship is incredible, and the careful work on the part of the fitter has produced a saddle that fits my wiiiiide Welsh-Arab cross perfectly and comfortably (my vet/chiro approves) and puts me and my leg exactly where they need to be.
Summary: If you have been looking fruitlessly for a saddle that fits both you and your horse or are simply looking for a top-of-the-line saddle, buy a CWD. You won't be disappointed.
