Purchase: I acquired this saddle at a flea market and paid $55 for it.

Likes: This saddle is very flat, as it is saddle seat classes. It is not particualary comfortable for long rides. But I purchased it for showing high stepping Saddlebreds. This saddle is also very old. The leather is very well broken in. The tree is sturdy. The leathers were warped beyond repair, but everything else has held up very well. It fits my friend's saddlebred gelding without issue. It is Argentinian leather, at least that's what I'm led to believe.

Dislikes: The saddle is a red/chestnut leather color. To each his own I suppose. But for the price, I got over it. The flaps that cover the stirrup buckles no longer lay flat. The seat is not comfortable for long rides.

Quality: The saddle is made well and has stood the test of time. The leather and stitching are quite durable.

Summary: If I had to buy another flat seat saddle, I would feel safe in choosing a Borelli. However I'm sure there are more comfortable options available. But if you come across one at a good price, they're a great buy!
